What is 4K?
First Steps 4K is a South Carolina prekindergarten program that provides

a research-based curriculum

qualified staff

8 hours of instructions for 220 school days
Wrap around Care
We do offer wrap around care. Meaning if your 4k student needs to be dropped off before 8:00 or stay after 4:00, you will be charged an additional amount.
What makes my child eligible?
What is the cost?

Your child must be 4 years of age on or before September 1st of the school year.

Your child must reside in a district specified as eligible by the SC General Assembly.

Your child must qualify for the free/reduced price lunch program, meaning family income is 185% of the federal poverty margin or below or be Medicaid eligible.
The 4k program is free from during the regular school Aug-May and in the Summer from June-Aug.
Is there a schedule?
Yes, during the school year, the schedule is 8:00 to 4:00.
During the summer, the schedule is 8:00 to 4:00
